Buckman Art Show and Sell

Graphic Design
Project Overview
Buckman Elementary School holds an annual arts show and sell, raising money to support arts education at the school and bringing together over 100 professional artists each year. The posters I  designed, using art provided by participating artists have helped bring hundreds of visitors to the show each year. 2020 marked the 30th anniversary of the art show so I was asked to create the featured artwork as well.

I created a two-color reduction linocut print with eye-catching high-contrast and bold red ink. To create a cohesive design I also hand-cut some of the major lettering, but the remaining type was digitally generated to allow more flexibility.

In addition to the poster I also created a coordinated brochure and commemorative button.

Below are the poster layouts I created for previous years.
