Buckman Elementary School holds an annual arts show and sell, raising money to support arts education at the school and bringing together over 100 professional artists each year. The posters I designed, using art provided by participating artists have helped bring hundreds of visitors to the show each year. 2020 marked the 30th anniversary of the art show so I was asked to create the featured artwork as well.
I created a two-color reduction linocut print with eye-catching high-contrast and bold red ink. To create a cohesive design I also hand-cut some of the major lettering, but the remaining type was digitally generated to allow more flexibility.
In addition to the poster I also created a coordinated brochure and commemorative button.
